As you would expect, every dog is brushed and cared for individually throughout the day by a dedicated member of staff who, we promise, will cater to your dog's every whim.

Our staff have a broad range of experience and qualifications in working with animals. But most of all, we just love caring for dogs!

Kennels Manager - Kate Hurry

Kate has been with Westlodge for 6 years now, she started doing 2 weeks work experience from school that led on to a weekend job, and it was at this point her potential really shone through. When it was time for her to choose her career at the point of leaving school, we offered her an apprenticeship and attending a day release course through the Animal Care College. On quickly passing her course with flying colours, she was promoted to manager in 2012 and continues to offer Westlodge and its guests her know-how and expertise.

Kennels Staff - Sarah Gawthrop-Bleet, Laura Whiterod, Tasha Monton & Emma Wright

Between them, our kennels staff have a range of qualifications and experience. They have all taken courses at a local Animal Care College, some worked for The Blue Cross  caring for cats, and some involved in livery.

Sarah and Laura have been with us since 2007 and have built up a wealth of knowledge, and Tasha and Emma joined us in 2014.

At Westlodge, it's important to us that all of our staff are deeply committed to the care of much-loved pets.
